Here are some more of my Farmers Wife Sampler Blocks(Authored by Laurie Aaron Hird) I am doing my blocks paperpieced and in 3 1/2" unfinished blocks and trying to use only 30's fabrics.
They have been a lot of fun to do, and must admitt a couple were a little interesting making sure my points end up where they should be. I think I will be doing some looking for a few more solid colors to use with these also.
I am also doing a set with the 4 1/2" Unfinished Blocks but are being done in Scrappy fabrics. When done with the blocks thier will be 111 blocks. I have enjoyed the Farmers Wife Yahoo group site and also reading Laurie Hirds site with the letters from the 1920's.
(I put a quarter on one of them so you can see the size compared to it.)

I have a New Kenmore 385.19, and a Viking 400, a Singer Treadle, a Featherweight. and a Viking Ruby. In February 2010 I purchased an APQS Longarm , and Love everyone of them. I taught my 1st paper-piecing class, it was such a blast!
Goodness, those are teeny tiny blocks!
ReplyDeleteyes they are pretty little, but they sure are fun to do. The paperpiecing makes them much easier I think.
