I enjoy Horses,Gardening, Flowers, Archery, Camping, Fishing, Bottle Calves and all things with animals. I started sewing when I was 8 for 4-H, and have sewed off and on since. I discovered how fun quilting was over 7 years ago. I still sew on a Kenmore that was a graduation gift in 1981. I have a New Kenmore 385.19, and a Viking 400, a Singer Treadle, a Featherweight. and a Viking Ruby. In February 2010 I purchased an APQS Longarm , and Love everyone of them. I taught my 1st paper-piecing class, it was such a blast!

 This Black one is Ferdinand
I have managed to finish up another UFO.
This one was also a sample for the LQS and just needed to get it quilted and the binding on. Managed to finish it up this weekend. Yea ME!
It is a Flannel 5 Yard Quilt with a Gray/Black/Red/White Plaid Minky on the back. On this one I quilted it with a Feather allover design.
I was hoping to have two more UFO finishes to post, BUT though I took them with when we went campingto bind  this last weekend I neglected to work on them.  BUT it was OH SO relaxing!
5 Yard Flannel Quilt. Quilted this with Feathers design

 A Plaid Minky Back
Back of the Flannel Quilt- Minky Fabric.
Well that's all I have for now....I am loving getting back into blogging, and finishing up some UFO's. I recently did a UFO count and came up with 37 since I started working back in 2010 soooooo... have vowed to change that to a very minimum!!
Have a wonderful Evening!

The Boys and their Toys.....

Last Month the boys were doing the 3rd leg of a Archery Shoot that they had entered. I tagged along to take pictures and watch them shoot. This first picture is of one of the twins Casey
and this picture is of the other twin Carl. They are both into Archery and do really well at it.
Another of Casey scoping out the target....

Carl shooting down at the 3D Big Horn Sheep
Casey taking his turn at it.
Casey and Carl have just recently qualified at the state Archery Meet to go to the National one in Grande Island.  Casey placed 3rd in the state for Compound Bows and Carl placed 2nd in the state for Recurve Bow. Pretty proud of both of them!
Just a little update on the guys.....They have grown a bit in the last 3 yrs....

Some Completed UFO's and more

Wow!  I have managed to not only finish one UFO but 2......
The first one I actually started back I think in 2007, in fact looking back I think I showed a starting picture of it here.  Well here it is now completed:
This is actually the back and is Minky fabric, I quilted it with the All over Snoflake design
Here is the finished Snoman Quilt
And another UFO Finish My Halloween 5 Yard Quilt and the backing of it is a Marbled Orange Minky. This one I quilted with a Cobweb design, with Whisper Monofilament thread with Bottom line in the bobbin.
It has also started to warm up a little so have been spending a little more time outside.  Started planting the garden....and yes once again I got carried away with tomatoes, ended up planting 15 plants......Oh well I love to can them so maybe will even get enough to make some more salsa and all that yummy stuff.
Well I hope to get a couple more finishes done yet this week so will close this for now.    Take Care and wish you blessings!!
