Minnekahta Quilt Guild Blocks Now caught up!!
I think I'm on a roll. I officially all caught up on my monthly Guild Blocks!
Every month those that want to participate(must be decided at the begining of the year) put there name in and if it is drawn you get to pick a block that you would like to have everybody make for you. In this case she wanted Butterflies on a Cream background, with no color preference to the butterfly.
We have done everything from barns to buuterflies and hummingbirds. Lots of fun!
Whew hew!!!!! All caught up on Wisconsin Barn Quilt Blocks
This one is # 30 The Wisconsin Star from Green County
Just wanted to Thank Jen for doing these, they have been so much fun and turn out so pretty.
Thanks Jen......
I also have finished my Tepee Block, It is paperpieced for Deloris at the Minnekahta Quilt Guild. She Chose what I thought was houses just learned it was buildings. I have known her forever and she lives on the reservation so thought it was only fitting to make her a Teepee house. She will also have a Farm House block coming eventually. It is also paperpieced.
It's so nice to be getting caught up!
We were playing with the Camera yesterday so thought I would also post pictures of two of my guys. Carl and Casey are twins and are my "babies"( yes, if they knew I wrote that they would be after me) hee, hee. Casey has sure gained some height this summer. Shadow is a Springer Spaniel mix (brown and white) is about 10 years old and Sierra is a German Shepherd/Collie and is about 8 months, we have had her about a month now.

Custer Quilt Show July 2010 and More
This is my "Waiting Quilt"/ Englished paperpieced when I get it done it will fit a queen size bed hanging down the sides. I actually started this quilt when my now 13 year old sons started playing baseball. They had practices every night so I started piecing 1 1/2" hexagons. It is very scrapy as I don't pay much attention to what fabrics go where only that they same ones aren't besides each other.
I was reminded of it this last couple of weeks when my mother ended up n the hospital with heart problems. She was getting very bored just laying in bed so I told her I could bing some hexagons for her to put together(thought it was very fitting while she was "waiting"). She is doing well now, and they did end up doing the shock to her heart it, just didn't want to get itself in sync. She says she feels better than she has in months. What a blessing.
1 1/2 " Hexagons
This is the Wallhanging I made for my folks' 50th Wedding Anniversary. It has a recent picture of them in the center with polaroid pictures of their wedding showcased around. I loved working with the border fabric in it.
Dad and Mom's 50th Anniversary 2010
Dad and Moms 50th Wedding Anniversary June 2010
Mom and Dad Celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last month. They requested a Camping Anniversary get together, as they said a "Redneck Anniversary" rather than a formal to do. They chose Angustora Reservoir, we all had a great time and the weather was great, the rain didn't make an appearance until 9pm what a blessing.
